Quickstart Installation

If you've already got cable, why wait? Depending on regional availability you may be able to request QuickStart Installation when you place your order online. Simply check the requirements below, if you meet them you could install your services quickly and easily yourself.

How does it work?

Choose the Quickstart option when you're ordering your services online and we'll send the installation pack to you in the post. It comes with a guide that tells you everything you need to know about installing the services yourself.

What are the benefits of Quickstart?

  • We'll post your pack right away and it could arrive in as little as 72 hours
  • So you can start using your services in 3 working days.
  • You just need to be in to sign for the pack. You can then connect it when you want.
  • It's easy to get connected, but if you need help along the way, just give our team a call. We can even send one of expert engineers around - absolutely free.

What do I need to check before I order a Quickstart Pack?

You can order a Quickstart Pack if you've already had cable in your house before. There are 4 things to check.

1. Have you got any cable connection points in your house?

Connection points look a bit like this: sockets Left:a TV and broadband socket. Right: a phone socket

2. Are these connection points in the right place for your computer and TV?

Your TV/computer should be within 3 metres of the connection point, so that the cables in your Quickstart Pack reach. Your computer should be within 25 metres of the connection point.

3. Are you planning to keep your BT number?

If you are, you'll need to have your services installed by an expert engineer.

4. Are you ordering V+ service?

You'll need to have your services installed by an expert engineer too.

How will you deliver my Quickstart Pack?

We'll deliver your Quickstart Pack to your door on whichever date you choose. Our delivery days are Monday to Friday between 7am - 5pm. When you fill in your order form online, just let us know which one suits you best. You'll need to be at home to sign for your pack. If you're not, we'll deliver it to your nearest Post Office and you can pick it up whichever day is good for you.

What happens when I've connected my services. Will they work right away?

Once you have connected your equipment, you'll need to give us a call on 0800 953 9500 and we’ll switch your services on. We’re here to help, Monday to Friday (8am - 10pm) Saturday (9am - 6pm) and Sunday (10am - 5pm).
