High-definition television (HDTV) combines a high-resolution picture with Dolby digital surround sound to produce a fabulous TV experience. HD makes TV look incredible, with intensely colourful and stunningly sharp images.
Once you've experienced HDTV, going back to standard TV will be like going back to black and white!
To watch HDTV you'll need an HD set top box (like our V+ Box) and an HD-ready television with an HDMI socket.
There are a few different ways you can watch HDTV with Virgin. Remember: you'll need a V+ Box – you won’t be able to receive HDTV with our standard set top V box. Take your pick!
With Virgin TV On Demand, you can pick a film from our massive on–demand film and music library, which has a great choice of HD content. You can also get the best of the BBC’s HD content on BBC iPlayer, which you can watch on your TV with Virgin. It includes live sports coverage, plus spectacular series like South Pacific, as well as other documentaries and dramas.
