Fibre optic cable, that's what. From the outside it looks like any old cable. But on the inside, it's a modern miracle. Unlike copper wire, fibre optic cable is built for high speed internet in the 21st century. Virgin Media is the only place to get fibre optic broadband, and the good news is more than half the homes in the UK can get it.
